August Update 2

How are you getting on with thinking "In the Round"? this month. We're happy to see a couple of people really rising to the challenge, but we'd love to see more of you joining im!
This week we've another way of using the sketches to share; Janice (aka Serial Crafter)  is a regular contributor to online magazine "Paper and Pixels"  and a whizz at making Digi Layouts, so the perfect person to show how our sketches work for digi scrapping too.

We were thrilled when in no time at all Janice came up with this fab LO for our August sketch.  I love the offset circles on the background and the lovely Autumnal colours, and that photo is perfect "in the Round", isn't it?
thanks Janice, you're a star :-)

Here's a reminder of the sketch so that you can see just how well the LO works.
So, there's some more food for thought - why not have a go at a
digital, or hybrid project yourself?
We'd love to see what you make, so please leave a link - a comment too, if you've time!

August Update 1

Here's the first of the Tuesday updates for the August sketch.  It seems to be stumping everyone as there's a distinct lank of links so far this month.
Hopefully another couple of ideas for using the sketch on the left will help get you thinking!
We'll be back next week with more ideas

August 2011 - In the Round

Thanks to everyone who shared their "Ovally Nice" creations over the last month, they really were "awfully Nice" indeed!
Time now for a new sketch and this time we're going round and round in circles and we hope you'll be inspired to have a bit of fun with this one.

For starters, this week we've a couple of things from the DT to get you thinking - we have Jackie and Carol with their
first examples using the sketch.
We'll be back with weekly updates - usually each Tuesday there'll be new ideas from our team for you to see, so please come back each week to find out what we've been making.

We're really looking forward to seeing what you come up with, so please leave your link (coming soon!) and a comment too so we can come and visit - and please don't forget to spread the word about where you found the sketch ;)

See you next week with more creating "In the Round"

July Update1

Today's Update is a special one because we're introducing a new Sketch File teamie.
We thrilled that the fabulously talented
has agreed to join us and we're hoping that she'll inspire you to try the sketches out on different sorts of projects.  Carol does amazing things with ink, paint, chipboard and all manner of other stash, she makes a whole host of fabulous projects; inchies, twinchies, ATCs to name but a few.  We hope you're going to enjoy seeing her work here on the Sketch File.
So Carol has the starring role on this update!

Here's a reminder of what the July sketch looks like, followed by Carol's interpretation.  You'll find more info on how she made this piece and what she used over on her blog.
Don't forget to come back and let us know where we can see your projects by leaving your link (and a comment would be nice :))
You can use older sketches too - even after the Inlinkz period has closed - just leave us a comment and we'll come and see, and we'll add your link to the relevant list in the sidebar
