December Update 1

The project using the December "Take 5" sketch for this update is the top cover of a memo block.  The 5 tall rectangles are made using strips of ribbon and rows of tiny punched squares.
Here's a reminder of the sketch:
This is the memo block.  If you would like to see how it's made there is a tutorial HERE

Please let us know where we can see your creations

December 2011 - Take 5

Time for a new layout idea here on The Sketch File.  We hope you like this one with it's simple easy to use lines and circles.  The one works well whichever way you twist it so don't feel you have to use it this way up.  Or maybe you could shrink it- or "grow" the circle and shrink the lines - we just want to see you getting creative.  As usual you can make whatever you like and any sort of crafting with our sketches.
Apologies if you came by earlier and found the sketch missing (oops!) - put it down to Christmas stress - or maybe trying to do too many things at the same time! Thanks to the lovely Kate for the "heads-up" hehe

We are very much into our Christmas card-making at the moment so we have a couple of cards to show you this week.

(sketch rotated)
Please come back soon for more ideas and inspiration using the
December Sketch File idea, and don't forget to add
your link when you're ready to share what you've made.

November Update 3

Hi there

We love to see what you make with our sketches and we don't mind what you make or whether you twist, mirror or shrink them - it's all about getting creative and having fun - just don't forget to let us know where we can see what you've made!

Carol has made this wonderful card using the November template.  Her beautiful card is stuffed full of  glorious rich colours and textures - isn't it fab? You can see more of Carol's work by following the link to her blog

Here's a quick reminder of the sketch

November Update 2

Hello, Kathy here
Today I thought I'd share a couple of Christmas cards I've made using the current sketch in different ways to show how versatile this sketch can be.
First the original view of the sketch and a card to match, and then the rotated and mirrored version of the sketch and a card made using the new layout

If you're interested in the details, there's more info about these cards on my blog.
Remember, the Skerch File isn't just about cards - we want to see anything you make using the sketches - please come back and leave a link though, so we can visit and admire your projects.

Now a couple of wonderful ideas for how to use it,
a canvas board from Carol
And this fun card from Jackie

Aren't they both fab?
Remember anything goes here, so you can use the sketch for any crafting project you fancy; ATCs Inchies, cards, scrapbook page or anything else you can think of.  Just please come back and share what you make with us by leaving your link - and a comment too if you can.

November 2011 - Frames Galore

Here's the new Sketch File sketch for November - we hope you'll like this one and feel inspired to use it for your craft projects.

If you're trying to get on with your Christmas card making perhaps this LO will help with that - or maybe you'll be able to use it for some other crafting project.  We don't mind how you use it, but we'd like to see what you make so please come back and leave us a link and a comment when you're ready to share your creations with us.
Here are a couple of ideas to get you started

We'll back again soon with more of the things the DT have made using our "Frames Galore" sketch as the month goes on, and of course, we'll be looking
out for the things you share too.

October Update 2

This week's idea for using the October 2 Circles 2 Go sketch comes from Keryn and is a great idea for a Christmas card.  Using the two crossing lines detail part way up the card looks like ribbons on a parcel and the Father Christmas image is just lovely, isn't it?

Maybe this will be just the inspiration you need to get busy with your own Christmas cards!  If it is, then please let us see your own interpretations - we love it when you share your ideas with us.
Don't forget though that our sketches can be used for any sort of crafting project you like - so whether you make cards, books, ATCs, Inchies, Digi layouts, or any thing else, you can share your projects here.
Looking forward to seeing what you make this month
