February 2012 - Peeping Out

Thanks to those that joined in with our January sketch here on The Sketch File - don't forget that although the "Linky Gadget" stops working today, the sketches remain available for you to use - and if you leave a comment with your link on the relevant sketch post we'll still pop by to see what you've made.

Time now for a new sketch though, and this time there's a series of layered rectangles with just one circle peeping out from behind.

 You can use the sketch in whatever way you like; twist it or shrink it if you like.  Here's an idea of how it would look if you stretched it into a more rectangular shape:

January Update

January 2012 - Clean Lines and Corner Details

I'm so sorry for the delay in getting the January Sketch on here - it's absolutely my (Kathy) fault.
We are having building work done and it's utter chaos in my home atm and my head is all over the place.
I really should make a list of "to-do" jobs and keep it on a string around my neck - I'd only forget where I'd put it otherwise!

Anyway, better late than never they say, so here is our first Sketch for 2012 and a whole stack of cards which we hope will inspire you to get busy with your crafting.

There's lots of time to join in as the next sketch won't appear till the first Tuesday of February - which is not till the 7th!

Remember, any sort of crafting project goes, so whatever you like to make and whatever techniques you use - we'd love it if you'd have a go with our sketch.

December Update 1

The project using the December "Take 5" sketch for this update is the top cover of a memo block.  The 5 tall rectangles are made using strips of ribbon and rows of tiny punched squares.

December 2011 - Take 5

Time for a new layout idea here on The Sketch File.  We hope you like this one with it's simple easy to use lines and circles.  The one works well whichever way you twist it so don't feel you have to use it this way up.  Or maybe you could shrink it- or "grow" the circle and shrink the lines - we just want to see you getting creative.  As usual you can make whatever you like and any sort of crafting with our sketches.

 Apologies if you came by earlier and found the sketch missing (oops!) - put it down to Christmas stress - or maybe trying to do too many things at the same time! Thanks to the lovely Kate for the "heads-up" hehe

We are very much into our Christmas card-making at the moment so we have a couple of cards to show you this week.
